- The emperor galloping to right, hurling javelin at lion; on coins of Hadrian (bronze AE1 without S C) and Commodus (bronze medallion).

- Naked Hercules standing right, leaning on a club, which is sometimes resting on a rock or sometimes the head of an ox; on coins of Gordian III Pius (gold, silver, silver quinarius, bronze AE2), Postumus (billon), and Tetricus I (gold).
